Man as a species can be rightly said to have socially evolved into various subspecies. This view of new species evolution in man is justified technically as it meets the criteria for new species identification.
Today the capabilities of man have become so vast that it can even qualify for new species evolution.
Today a species of man can fly to reach far off places, or travel fast on land to reach distant places, while some can cover only walkable distances.
Man is the only creature that uses another one like him to work for him. First it was probably the donkeys, and then probably the horses and cows and later man began to use another man.
The state of the world today and the protest seen world over in Occupy the Wall Street has its fundamentals, rightly identified by Karl Marx, which today are being greatly recognized and realized. The escalating prices of food and other necessities can be directly or indirectly attributed to the value man has attached to land and minerals. Man has gained individual rights to claim land and prevent others from encroaching it. Where will the landless people go if every bit of land on earth is attributed to owners?
When an economic value is attached to these, it begins a cycle of costs, which keep escalating and reach us again after a full blown circle. Another aspect of mankind is the ignorance of physical labor. Man was unable to benchmark intellectual work. Intellectual work, instead of being ignored won predominance over physical labor, because it could produce results. If only man was able to calibrate and evaluate mental work as he could do for the physical work, then mental labor would not have won predominance.
Take this example. In the book ‘The expression of the emotions in man and animals’ Darwin says that the “chief expressive actions, exhibited by man and the lower animals, are now innate or inherited, that is, have not been learnt by the individual” .
Darwin says that this has been accepted by everyone. Darwin gives an example of the oblique eyebrows of a man suffering from grief or anxiety. Observe infants when they scream from hunger or pain, the circulation is affected and the eyes tend to become gorged with blood. The muscles surrounding the eyes soon become strongly contracted as a protection.
This action has over the course of several generations, become more prominent and inherited. Darwin goes on to say that though the habit of screaming was partially repressed, with advancing years and culture, however the muscles surrounding the eyes, still continued to contract, whenever even a slight distress is felt.
The relevance of the above example is immense. The conditions and situations warranting the introduction of our social conditions and order has changed. The current order and social conditions we have in place today were adopted for a purpose different from what we have in place today.
However we continue to regard these without a thought of its relevance. If this is not checked we shall continue with this irrelevance throughout our civilization. We have reached a point where we need to evaluate our social order, debate and establish a new one.
